Liisa Ranta is a Sustainability Manager at UPM Biofuels Development, based in Helsinki, Finland. She is responsible for sustainability and regulative matters related to different biofuels development initiatives. Among other things she has been developing UPM Biofuels sustainability management system and coordinating sustainability certification and greenhouse gas calculation for the whole supply chain. Currently she has been responsible for managing the implementation of RSB certification scheme for UPM Biofuels´ Brassica carinata cultivation in Uruguay. She has a master’s degree in Paper Technology and prior to UPM has worked in process and product development positions in paper industry.
