Fri 27 June 2008 – Mississippi-based Sustainable Power Corp has announced that joint testing conducted with an undisclosed airline has yielded favourable laboratory results of its ‘All-Green’ bio-jet fuel blend. A 90/10 jet fuel blend was created by combining jet fuel supplied by the airline with fuel created by Sustainable Power’s second-generation biocrude process.

The sample testing was conducted by AmSpec Services, whose Vice President of Special Projects, Neil Boone, said: “We were pleased to oversee the blend between this airline’s current jet fuel and Sustainable Power’s bio-jet fuel. The results met and surpassed all the standards the airline has requested from us.”

The test results have been posted on Sustainable Power’s website.

The company has exclusive rights to develop and manage a portfolio of green energy plants utilizing a process developed by parent company U.S. Sustainable Energy Corp, which claims its non-food feedstock biofuel is cheaper and technically superior to other biodiesel fuels.

The manufacturing process has been researched and developed over an 18-year period by John Rivera, Chairman of Sustainable Power, who commented: “In 2007, the total jet fuel consumed for domestic and international scheduled flights totalled over 18 billion gallons, and these figures do not include military or private aircraft use. With the current price range for jet fuel of $7-$8 per gallon in some areas of the United States, an initial 10% share of this market would be an overwhelming achievement for the company.”
