Fraunhofer in Europe

In Vienna, the Fraunhofer Project Group for Production Management and Logistics focuses on the optimization of value creation in production networks, including the planning and optimization of supply chains, organizational structures and processes in the manufacturing and service industries and the related logistics networks. The group’s activities are divided into three main areas:
 

Logistics management

Creation of seamless, end-to-end internal and external material and information flows in the supply chain

Production management 

Translation of customer requirements into innovative products and the corresponding optimized manufacturing processes in the production network
 

Service and processes

Integrated planning and optimization of job order and service processes
