Born on June 27, 1953 in Esperstedt in Thuringia, Germany

  • 2010 Initiator and Spokesman of the Fraunhofer Automobile Production Alliance
  • 2003–2006 Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Chemnitz University of Technology (TU Chemnitz)
