Dr Joseph Githiomi

Dr Joseph K. Githiomi holds a Bachelor of Science (Forestry) from Moi University, Master of Science  (Forest Science) from  Melbourne University, Australia  and a PhD  (Forest Science) from Kenyatta University. He is currently working in Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) as a Deputy Director for Forest Products Development where he is involved in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Forest product development research. He has previously worked as a National Forest Products Research Programme Director in KEFRI for 15 years. He has over 30 years’ experience in forestry research and has over 60 publications. His main interest is in sustainable biomass energy development.
